Oral and maxillofacial surgery focuses on diagnostic and surgical services that treat diseases, injuries, deformities and cosmetic defects of the oral and facial region. The maxillofacial region includes the upper jaw and cheek bones, which includes the bones that support and surround features of the face and the intra-oral structures, such as teeth, salivary glands and soft oral tissue.
